Here at R. Greaves & Co, fundraising for charity is a very important part of our mission.
We actively support Hope House Childrens Hospice which is an amazing charity, providing specialist nursing care and support to life-limited children, young people and young adults.
Their support extends to the whole family, from diagnosis and throughout the lifetime of the child and beyond.
Macmillan Coffee Morning 2015
We joined in with the world's biggest coffee morning on September 25th 2015. The generous cake donations were incredible, we sold raffle tickets, played "spot the cake" and had a steady stream of people coming in to support this wonderful cause from 9am till 3pm.
The donations collected on that day amounted to an amazing £320.00.
The cakes that were left over were donated to a coffee morning that was being held the next day at the local Crematorium.
Christmas Memory Tree 2015
Throughout December we had a memory tree in the office for families to write their loved ones names on a wooden heart and place it on the tree in remembrance of the loved ones they had lost.
A donation of £2 per name was taken and the money raised was for Hope House Childrens Hospice.
We set up a just giving page and the total collected with the online donations was an incredible £260.00
Macmillan Coffee Morning 2016
Once again we joined in with the world's biggest coffee morning. This year was amazing, We wanted to beat last years total and we certainly did it in style.
It was incredible. We had a raffle, and oodles of cakes, cheese, scones, something for everyone! The people of Wem came out in force.
A good friend of mine also had a starring role on the day as she braved the shave!
The total raised from the coffee morning was £635.00
Christmas Memory Tree 2016
Once again, we had the memory tree up throughout December.
The response this year was truly amazing.
The total raised this year was an incredible £540.00 which doubled last year's amount.

Zip Wire challenge accomplished!
Rhian did the Zip Wire at Penrhyn Quarry, Gwynedd on Sunday 9th July 2017 for Hope House.
The Zip Wire is the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world. it is a mile long and speeds in excess of 100 mph can be reached.
I had the most fabulous day, the weather was extremely kind to everyone who took part, not too windy (phew) and it stayed dry.
I raised a total of £722.74!

The memory tree once again was up in the office.
The total raised was £300
Thank you to everyone who popped in and donated.
The total amount raised for Hope House since December 2015 now stands at £1822.74 !!!

This year the amount raised was £226.73 which included £80 from sales of pre paid funeral plans here at R. Greaves & Co.
The total raised for Hope house since 2015 is now at £2273.64 !!
Amazing, thank you to everyone once again who has supported the memory tree.
